Reducing Agent (Reductant, Reducer)
A reducing agent (also called a reductant or reducer) is one which causes another substance to be reduced (receive electrons). The reducing agent is itself oxidised (loses electrons).
See Oxidising Agent (Oxidant, Oxidiser), Reduction, Oxidation, and Redox (Reduction-Oxidation).
