Lithotroph
From the Ancient Greek λίθος, líthos, ‘stone’; and τροφή, trophḗ, ‘nourishment’: ‘nourishment from rock (inorganic materials)’.
Lithotrophs use inorganic compounds as electron donors.
See An Introduction to Electron Donor Sources and Organotroph.
