Temperature Over Millenia
This is a little post for the people who subscribed because of the Carbon Dioxide Narrative series. Thank you.
The graph below was published in The Washington Post on 19th September 2024, in the article “Scientists have captured Earth’s climate over last 485 million years”.
You can also read it here if caught by the paywall.

This graph was based on the one in the original paper “A 485-million-year history of Earth’s surface temperature” by E. J. Judd et al., published 20th September 20204 in Science, Vol 385, Issue 6715.
I do not know the source of this graph below unfortunately. I would love to be able to cite it if anyone happens to know its origin.

Again, click on it for a full-size version — you’ll need it!
Please note the change in scale of the x-axis, as the graph itself says to do.
Also take the time to absorb every word of text on it, and the significance thereof.
It’s worth ending this post by revisiting these two graphs from My Take on the Carbon Dioxide Narrative: Conclusion, just because they are that good too!

So I combined all the above passions and interests into this website and its blog and manuals, on which I write about botany, soil chemistry, soil microbiology and biochemistry - and yes, jujubes too!
